Hello everyone. The end of the 2016 race season is fast approaching. Advanced heads to the SCCA Runoffs this Friday with 4 cars. Voytek Burdzy and Eric Pratt in their Spec Miatas and Ken Kannard in his STL and F-Prod Miatas. After a week of testing and qualifying, we race on Saturday and Sunday the 24th and 25th. If you can come out to Mid Ohio, It would be great to see everyone. If not follow us on Facebook and watch live race results on either race monitor or the SCCA website.
After we get home, the month of October will be very busy. Starting October 2nd with Midwestern Council at Blackhawk, is a typical Sunday only race event. The schedules where changed after the Advanced calendar was mailed out. The SCCA Double Regional is on October 15 and 16. Not the 8-9 as my calendar shows. There is a Friday test day scheduled. SCCA is trying out their version of Chump Car racing with a 3 hour bracket enduro. If you are interested in putting together a team for this event, let me know well in advance so I can get all the logistics and equipment prepared.
The last local event, as always, is That LOOOONG Race at Blackhawk. Always a great event with Big Wheel races and Trick-r-Treating for the kids. And SPam fest for the bigger kids. The always fun, 100 mile races on each day, will also have a special SM race with very distinct trophy's. And don't forget the father and son challenge arrainged by the Martins and Browns. For info on this event contact Tom Brown at tom at customwirelessinc dot com
Our final event of 2016 will be the American Road Race of Champions (ARRC) at Road Atlanta on November 4-6. We still have a couple spots on the trailer for this event.
Ask Santa to bring you a trip to Florida in January. Advanced will be going to the back to back SCCA Majors at Homestead and Sebring. January 6-8 and 13-15 respectively. Followed by the PBOC event at Sebring the following weekend. This fun event features a 6 hour enduro on Thursday night. This race starts at 3pm and finishes under the lights at 9pm. Advanced has several sets of light bars available. Pretend you are racing at the famous 12 hour race!!!!!! We generally leave on Friday morning, but can stay for extra races if you desire.
Please respond with your availability. We hope to see all of you at one of these final races.
